Anki, in its own words
Anki is a flashcard program that helps you spend more time on challenging material. The computer version is free, AnkiDroid for Android is free, and sales of the iOS app, AnkiMobile, fund Anki's development. You create decks and add the cards, and a free sync service keeps them on every device.
What Qenot adds
- The cards are made from your lectures, PDFs and videos, each one linked back to where it came from.
- Recall schedules them with FSRS, and shows when each grade would bring a card back.
- Quizzes, fill-in-the-blank, written tests and teach-back, from the same material.
- Answers to your questions, from your own files, with citations.
- Past exams sat on the clock and marked.
When Anki may suit you better
If you want full control over every card's wording and layout, a free desktop app, or shared decks made for a particular exam, Anki is hard to beat.
Common questions
Can I import my Anki decks?
Not directly. Add the material the deck was made from, and Qenot makes cards from it.
Does Qenot use FSRS?
Yes. Each answer you give updates its estimate of how well you know the card, and it shows the card again when you're likely to be about to forget it.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, in your phone's browser, as on a laptop or tablet. It needs a connection.
Is Qenot free?
You can start free with no card: past exams, study sets, chat and teach-back for up to 5 topics and 5 courses, with Recall and the focus timer unlimited.
