What’s new

The changes you’ll notice, newest first.

  1. Try Student free for 7 days

    • The Student plan now starts with a 7-day free trial. Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing.
    • If a payment doesn’t go through, you’ll see it straight away with a button to update your card — no more finding out when your plan stops.
    • Our Terms, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are updated: every service that sees your material is named, and research reports and the trial are covered. You’ll be asked to accept the new Terms once.

  2. Papers are now Exams

    • “Papers” is now “Exams” everywhere, and grades are counted in points. Old /papers links still work.
    • A partly right answer now shows in amber with ½, so “nearly” looks different from “not at all”.
    • A new example report at qenot.com/example-report shows exactly what you get back after grading — share it with a classmate.

  3. Research

    • A Research button in Ask Qenot — in the main chat, a topic's chat or a course's chat. Ask a question and Qenot searches the web (academic sources first), reads about a dozen pages and writes a cited report.
    • Every claim in the report points to the page it came from, and the report lists its sources.
    • The report is saved as a source in the topic you pick, so you can ask about it, highlight it, and make a quiz or flashcards from it. Download it as a PDF, or copy it into a note to edit.
    • You can leave while it works, or cancel. A report that doesn't finish never uses your allowance.

  4. Find, export and tidy up

    • Search everything by name with ⌘K (Ctrl K): topics, courses, sources, materials, papers and chats.
    • Download notes and graded paper reports as PDFs, and export flashcards to Anki.
    • Pages print cleanly — no menus or sidebars on paper.
    • Select several sources, materials, papers or recall facts and delete or move them together.
    • “What to practise next” on each topic and course, from the answers and marks you already have.
    • Send feedback straight from the app — it reaches us with the page you were on.
    • Animations respect your system’s reduced-motion setting, and report results say Correct, Partly or Incorrect in words.

  5. Safety and control

    • Deleted topics, sources and materials go to Recently deleted in Settings for 30 days, and can be restored.
    • An optional daily email when you have recall cards due.
    • Close your account and download everything in it from Settings.
