Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Qenot at qenot.com. Qenot is operated by Ahamed Munsif, an individual sole trader based in Sri Lanka. By creating an account you agree to them. When they change we ask you to accept the new version; the old one keeps applying until you do.

What Qenot does

You upload your own study material — notes, slides, PDFs, past papers. Qenot turns it into study material, builds timed exam papers from it, and marks your written answers against the marking scheme you provide.

AI-generated output is guidance, not an official mark

Grades, feedback and generated material are produced by AI and may be wrong. A mark from Qenot is a study aid. It is not an official assessment, carries no academic weight, and does not predict what an examiner will award. Always check important facts against your own source material and your institution's guidance.

You are responsible for how you use the output. Do not submit AI-generated text as your own work where your institution forbids it — that is academic misconduct, and it is your responsibility, not ours.

Your account

  • You must give an accurate email address and keep your login secure.
  • One account per person. Do not share it.
  • You must be 16 or older, and old enough to enter a contract where you live. Qenot is not for younger students.
  • Use a permanent email address. Temporary inboxes can sign up but can't upload or generate.

Your content stays yours

You keep all rights in everything you upload. You grant Qenot only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store your files, process them, send extracts to the AI providers listed in our privacy policy, and show the results back to you. We do not use your uploads to train AI models, and we do not share them with other users.

By uploading, you confirm you have the right to use what you upload for your own study. Do not upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's copyright, or contains other people's personal data without their consent. We can suspend an account that breaks this.

Copyright notices

If you believe material on Qenot infringes your copyright, email support@qenot.com with the subject “Copyright notice”, and include: the work you own, where the material appears (a link or description), your contact details, and a statement that you are the owner or authorised to act for them. We respond within 2 business days and remove material that infringes.

Subscriptions and renewal

  • Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Cancel any time from your billing settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Listed prices include any applicable sales tax or VAT. The amount shown on the pricing page is the amount charged, whatever country you are in. Dodo Payments calculates, collects and remits that tax as the seller of record.
  • Prices may change. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a change affects your renewal.
  • Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who acts as the merchant of record and is the seller for your transaction. Their terms apply to the payment itself.

Fair use

Every plan has usage limits, shown in the app before you use them. We may apply rate limits to protect the service. Do not attempt to bypass limits, resell access, scrape the service, or use it to build a competing product.

Suspension and termination

You may delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, abuses the service, or puts other users at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why first. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of your current period.

Availability

Qenot is provided as-is. We work to keep it available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service — it depends on third parties including AI providers and hosting infrastructure. We may change or remove features as the product develops.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Qenot is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for academic outcomes, or for decisions you make based on AI-generated output. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Consumer protections that apply where you live are unaffected.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Qenot means you accept the updated terms.
