A flashcard turns over, the student marks it, and the next card comes up.

Open any set from Study material in a topic's sidebar. It fills the page: one item at a time, a counter and a bar at the top, and the actions at the bottom where your thumb or mouse already is.

A card turns over, it's marked as known, and the next card comes up.

Flashcards

  1. Read the front and answer in your head.

Say it out loud if you can. Don't turn the card yet.
  2. Turn it over.

Click the card or press Space.
  3. Be honest.

Got it if you knew it, Review again if you didn't. Recall uses this to decide when you'll see the card next.

Quizzes and fill-in-the-blank

Pick an answer, then Check. You'll see the right answer, why it's right, and why each wrong option is wrong. Explain this answer gives a fuller explanation when you need one.

Small things that help

  • Full screen hides everything but the card.
  • Add to Recall keeps an item even if you're not going to answer it now.
  • The small “AI-made” button explains where the items came from and lists the keyboard keys.

Common questions

Do my answers count toward Recall?

Yes. Every card you mark and every question you check is scheduled in Recall, so it comes back before you forget it.

Can I use the keyboard?

Yes. Flashcards: Space turns the card, 1 is "review again" and 2 is "got it". Quizzes: 1 to 9 or A to H picks an answer, and Enter checks it, then moves on.

I don't understand an answer. What can I do?

Choose Ask Qenot under the item. It opens the chat with the question, and, once you've answered, the answer too.
