Sitting a past exam: the clock, the question list, answers saved as you write, and Submit.

Sitting a past paper under real conditions is the best rehearsal for an exam. Qenot reads the paper, writes model answers from your course's topics, and marks you question by question.

Add a past exam

  1. Open the course and choose Add a past exam.

A PDF or a photo of the paper both work.
  2. Wait a minute or two.

Qenot finds the questions, their points, and any diagrams, and writes model answers.
  3. Read the model answers if you want to.

Each question shows a model answer and a checklist of what earns the points. Hide the question list for a full-width view.

Sit it

  1. Choose Sit it, and how time runs out.

“Like the real exam” or “Let me finish”. Then Start exam: it opens full screen, with no sidebar, chat or focus timer.
  2. Answer each question.

Type, or add a photo of a handwritten answer. The bar at the top shows the clock, how many parts you've answered, and “Saved”.
  3. Jump around and flag.

The numbered list takes you to any question. Flag the ones you want to check before submitting.
  4. Submit.

Qenot asks first, and reminds you of unanswered parts and flagged questions. Then your report is ready in a few seconds.

Common questions

Can I write my answers by hand?

Yes. Write on paper, then add a photo of each answer under its question. Qenot reads your handwriting before marking it.

What if I close the tab during an exam?

Your answers are saved as you write and the clock keeps running on the server. Open the exam again and you carry on where you left off.

What's the difference between the two timing options?

"Like the real exam" submits your answers when the time runs out. "Let me finish" lets you keep writing, and the report shows how far over you went.

Where do I find past papers?

Your course website, department, lecturer or study group. Only upload papers you're allowed to use.
